When you choose Connect with Google, Ding! for Gmail asks Google for:
openid and email: your Google account ID and email address, to label the account in the extension and recognize it if you connect it again.gmail.labels: to read the unread conversation count of your Inbox label. It is the narrowest Gmail permission that exposes this count. Ding! for Gmail never reads your messages and never changes labels, messages, or settings.This data is used only to show unread counts and new-mail alerts. It is never sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Removing an account revokes Ding! for Gmail's access and deletes its data. The privacy policy describes exactly what is stored, how it is protected, and how to delete it.
